Mr. John H. Scalise has extensive experience in construction, design and project management. Since joining Kutchins & Groh in 2009, he has served as Project Manager for the following construction projects at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport: the new Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) Facility; the new Perimeter Service Road; and the Runway 6/24 Taxiway Conversion. He was also Project Manager in charge of the preparation of layout specifications for new Passenger Boarding Bridges at Jackson Evers International Airport in Jackson, Mississippi, and Lake Charles Regional Airport in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
From 2004 to 2009, Mr. Scalise was Owner and Founder of The S Group International, LLC, located in Tampa, Florida, where he served as Project Manager for multiple national retailers. His responsibilities included design, estimating, contract administration, and vendor sourcing. From 1984 to 2004, Mr. Scalise served as Manager of Store Design for the Eckerd Corporation in Largo, Florida, where he was responsible for the management of multi-level, complex designs for the national retail pharmacy chain. Mr. Scalise was employed as Assistant Director of Planning and Design for Service Merchandise in Nashville, Tennessee, from 1982 to 1984. Mr. Scalise began his career as a designer, draftsman and estimator for J&L Interiors and Capital Construction, both in Tampa, Florida.
Mr. Scalise attended the Brewster Technical School in Tampa, Florida, and Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, Florida.
